Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team on a maternity leave contract. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role plays a key part in supporting the effectiveness of HR operations by off-loading administrative and coordination activities from the broader HR team.
This position is well suited for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working within structured processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding. While this is not a recruitment role, the HR Coordinator will provide recruitment system and process support as needed.
Success in this role means being reliable, proactive and comfortable working with confidential information while supporting employees and leaders across the organization.
A Day in the Life
Coordinate and administer employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding
Process and file employment packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness; follow up on missing or incorrect information
Draft HR documentation including offer letters, employment change letters, layoff notices, and termination packages
Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and filing structures (electronic and hard copy)
Support HR data tracking, reporting, and document control
Create and maintain HR templates, forms, and standard documents
Assist and facilitate onboarding activities in collaboration with Hiring Managers and the HR Business Partner
Support HR programs, initiatives, and compliance activities
Provide recruitment process support when required (e.g., system administration, interview coordination, documentation)
Learn and support HR workflows within UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)
What Youโll Bring to the Team
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
1โ3 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role (HR operations experience preferred)
Experience working with an HRIS; UKG experience or willingness to learn UKG is a strong asset
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfort learning new systems
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A professional, service-oriented approach when working with employees and leaders
