Educational Coordinator
Position Overview:
The
Educational Coordinator
plays a critical role in managing client satisfaction and facilitating knowledge transfer on urban farming practices.The coordinator will also play a role in co-managing urban farming projects across various locations within their region. Under the supervision of the Chief Urban Farmer, this position is responsible for overseeing the planning, supervision, and management of sites.
This role involves active participation in the communication and management of client accounts, ensuring successful farming operations and exceptional customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Client Experience and Marketing
Coordinate projects within the region.
Send communications, marketing materials, and content to clients.
Ensure client satisfaction and retention while identifying potential new opportunities.
Participate in gathering marketing content for the sales and marketing team.
Ensure that MicroHabitat's brand is well-represented in all client interactions and operations.
Collaborate with other chief farmers and the sales team to drive client satisfaction and growth.
Facilitation of Educational Workshops and Activities
Lead and facilitate educational workshops and hands-on activities for clients on topics such as urban agriculture, vegetable and microgreen production, and best horticultural practices.
Support and guide clients in the practical implementation of their urban farming projects.
Horticultural Management
Oversee the full maintenance of MicroHabitat's urban farms, providing clients with project information and horticultural advice.
Perform high-quality horticultural maintenance of urban farms.
Engage in educational activities and conduct courtesy visits with MicroHabitat clients.
Representation and Administration
Write reports and document the activities at each production site.
Maintain MicroHabitat tools and infrastructure.
Conduct regular maintenance and harvest visits to gardens in your region.
Project Management
Maintain cleanliness in all food production areas and at client spaces.
File operation reports and participate in operational process improvement.
Provide exceptional client service and communication throughout the season.
Operational Logistics Management
Maintain, assess, and track all equipment and infrastructure needed for operational success.
Off-season Responsibilities
Conduct end-of-season client reviews, identifying potential project expansions before winterization.
Plan for the upcoming season, ensuring smooth transitions and client satisfaction

Salary and Benefits:
Salary:
$22.50/ hour
Schedule:
8 AM to 5 PM during high season (spring/summer) with 1 hour unpaid lunch, and 9 AM to 5 PM during low season (fall/winter), with 30 min unpaid lunch.
Start Date:
March 16th, 2026
End Date:
October 30th, 2026 with potential to join the MicroHabitat full time at the end of season, based on the needs of the business.
