Job DescriptionJob Description Term of App't: Monday – Friday, 30 hours per week, until August 21, 2026 Start date: Immediately Reporting to: Operations Manager, WFTR & Continuing Education Salary: Classification 5, $25.02 per hour, as per BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.58/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay. Description: As a member of our Workforce Training & Continuing Education (WTCE) team, the WTCE Classroom Assistant will assist the instructor in the classroom by providing administrative and student support for WTCE programs and courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing classrooms and supplies, assisting students as directed by the instructor, preparing student packages, monitoring student attendance and progress, maintaining student files, clerical functions such as word processing and photocopying and other duties as required. **Schedule will be Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 3:00pm daily, with a half-hour lunch break. Qualifications: In order to be considered for this position, you must: Have successfully completed high school (Grade 12 or GED) Have previous experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Hold a current, valid driver's license; and Be a current resident of, and legally authorized to work in, Canada. Preference may be given to those candidates who have knowledge and are familiar with basic carpentry tools. *** The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Police Information Check (PIC) clearance in order to hold this position.
