THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a
Welder/Fitters
to join a well-established industrial organization in
Stoney Creek, Ontario.
This is a hands-on position responsible for welding, fabrication, fitting, and repair work on heavy-duty equipment and commercial units. You will support daily shop operations by completing repairs, modifying components, and ensuring equipment is maintained to high safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a shop environment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has strong welding and fabrication experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete welding and fabrication work using MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding methods as required
Repair, modify, and rebuild metal components and equipment structures and custom projects
Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work instructions
Cut, fit, and assemble materials to complete repair and fabrication projects
Inspect equipment and identify repair requirements
Support maintenance and repair activities alongside shop technicians
Perform structural repairs and component replacements as needed
Ensure completed work meets company quality and safety standards
Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Report material shortages, equipment concerns, and repair recommendations
Follow all company health and safety procedures and PPE requirements
REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years of welding and fabrication experience in industrial, transportation, heavy equipment, trailer, or similar environments
Experience working with steel and aluminum fabrication and repairs
Strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication tools
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Welding certification or trade-related training is considered an asset
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding shop environment
