Job DescriptionJob Description Welder Fitter (MIG) Locations: Elmira & Hawkesville, ON Permanent, Full-time We are currently seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our clients' growing team at their Elmira and Hawkesville manufacturing facilities. If you have experience welding heavy-gauge steel, can interpret blueprints, and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, we'd like to hear from you. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $28.00 - $36.00/hour (based on experience and skill level) Night Shift Premium: Additional $3.00/hour No rotating shifts Comprehensive benefits after 90 days Voluntary RRSP program 2 weeks paid vacation Day Shift (44 hours/week) Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM Night Shift ( Monday - Friday: 5:00 PM - 4:30 AM ($3/hr premium) Qualifications Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience Experience welding heavy gauge steel Strong fitting and fabrication experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred MIG welding certification or vocational training is considered an asset Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work independently and within a team environment Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements. Fit, assemble, and weld products according to engineering drawings and company specifications. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards, tolerances, and specifications are met. Make adjustments or repairs as required to maintain product quality. Operate cranes and other material handling equipment to safely move components throughout the welding area. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives.
