Job DescriptionJob Description Welder / Fabricator Delta, BC | Full-Time | Day Shift | $35-$40/hr Aerotek is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a well-established manufacturing client in Delta, BC . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys seeing projects through from fabrication to final assembly. You'll join a clean, organized shop environment where safety, accountability, and craftsmanship are highly valued. Whether working independently or collaborating with a team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to custom projects, share ideas for improvement, and take ownership of your work from start to finish. What You'll Do Perform welding and fabrication on structural steel and custom projects using GMAW (MIG) processes. Layout, fit-up, assemble, and weld components according to shop drawings and specifications. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and project requirements. Ensure all work meets quality standards, fabrication tolerances, and project specifications. Troubleshoot fabrication and welding challenges and contribute practical solutions. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards . Actively support workplace safety initiatives and demonstrate safe work practices at all times. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and workflow. Required QualificationsMust-Have Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience . Strong proficiency with GMAW (MIG) welding . Current CWB Certification or ability to successfully pass certification testing in all positions. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures. Thorough understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented approach to work. Strong work ethic with pride in craftsmanship and finished product quality. Preferred Qualifications Current CWB All-Position Certification (GMAW/MIG) . Red Seal Welder certification. Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior welders and fabricators. Previous experience leading projects or assisting with shop floor coordination. Multi-process welding experience considered an asset.
