Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate supports daily inventory operations for a manufacturing facility, including cycle counting, material relocation, delivery runs, and general warehouse activities. This role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely availability of parts for production and customer orders, and performing picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks. The Warehouse Associate will also be trained to use a bandsaw to cut and measure material and will work with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel to manage data and inventory transactions.
Responsibilities
Perform daily inventory tasks, including cycle counting, verifying stock levels, and reconciling discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
Execute relocation processes by moving parts and materials within the warehouse to designated locations and updating system records accordingly.
Conduct delivery runs for the manufacturing facility to ensure parts and materials reach production areas in a timely manner.
Enter inventory data into warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems to ensure real-time visibility and accuracy of stock levels.
Provide updates on parts availability and inventory status that may impact customer orders and production schedules.
Support general warehouse duties, including order picking, packing, and shipping to meet outbound order requirements.
Perform receiving activities by unloading, checking, and recording incoming shipments, and ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
Use RF scanners and related equipment to track inventory movements, complete transactions, and maintain data accuracy.
Learn to safely operate a bandsaw to cut and measure material according to facility requirements and quality standards.
Handle materials and parts distribution throughout the warehouse, ensuring items are organized and easily accessible.
Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs, with most lifting around 30 lbs, while following safe material handling practices.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer applications to manage data entry, track inventory, and generate basic reports.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues.
Maintain attention to detail when processing orders, updating records, and handling parts to prevent errors and delays.
Follow all established warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards to support a safe and efficient operation.
Essential Skills
Minimum 1 year of inventory control or warehouse experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system and data entry.
Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Strong computer skills and ability to perform accurate data entry.
Good communication skills to provide clear updates and collaborate with team members.
High attention to detail when handling inventory, processing orders, and updating records.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting around 30 lbs, while following safe lifting practices.
Experience with order picking, cycle counting, and general warehouse inventory activities.
Ability to use RF scanners and related technology to track inventory and complete transactions.
Capability to perform material handling, loading, and parts distribution in a warehouse environment.
Reliability and initiative to support daily warehouse operations and meet production needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Aviation industry experience is an asset.
Experience working with small parts or kitting processes is an advantage.
International shipping experience is beneficial.
Sit-down forklift experience and willingness to be trained on forklifts.
Motivated and self-driven, with a strong sense of initiative.
Willingness to learn inventory controller responsibilities and expand skill set.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment within a multi-building facility near an airport. The operation supports the production of utility aircraft, ranging from regional airliners to specialized aircraft, and involves working closely with production and logistics teams. The warehouse team operates out of one building with a team size of approximately 30 people, fostering a collaborative and fast-paced atmosphere. The shift schedule is a flexible, extended shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with an average workweek agreement and additional hours available on Fridays or after 40 hours in a week. Team members receive two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch each shift. The environment involves regular use of warehouse technologies such as WMS/ERP systems, RF scanners, bandsaws, and standard material handling equipment, with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and most lifting around 30 lbs. Employees are expected to follow appropriate safety practices and wear suitable attire for a warehouse and manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Saanich, BC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
