The Role Capture daily photo and video content on-mountain and in-village (powder days, park laps, family moments, après, events) for social, web, and campaigns. Plan and shoot content in line with weekly content calendars and campaign needs. Edit agile, social-first video content with fast turnaround, tailoring each asset for the intended channel, placement, and audience, including simple branded bumpers and basic motion graphics. Work closely with the marketing team to support specific initiatives: contests, partner campaigns, snow reports, event recaps, brand storytelling. Coordinate with athletes, instructors, staff, and guests for lifestyle and action shoots, ensuring consent and releases are handled appropriately when necessary. Maintain and organize footage, project files, and simple naming systems in alignment with department expectations. Represent Big White professionally on and off the hill, always putting guest experience and safety first. What We’re Looking For Strong short-form videography and editing experience, with a portfolio that shows action, lifestyle, and social-first storytelling. Confident skier or snowboarder, able to ride all groomed terrain safely with camera gear. Proficiency with Premier Pro, After Effects, Dropbox and Microsoft Office platform. Comfortable shooting solo in winter conditions and making smart decisions when weather and visibility change. Experience capturing clean audio in the field using on-camera and external microphones. Audio editing and mixing skills, including dialogue cleanup, reducing wind/background noise, balancing music and voice, and exporting polished social-ready content. Portfolio displaying colour correction and basic colour grading skills. Strong understanding of how to prepare and optimize video for social and digital channels, including export settings, aspect ratios, file formats, delivery requirements, and the creative elements that drive engagement. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a cross-functional marketing team in a fast-paced, seasonal environment. Friendly and confident when interacting with guests during content production projects. Legally entitled to work in Canada (valid work permit, permanent residency, or citizenship). What We Offer Seasonal, full-time on-mountain role (32 hour per week minimum) from late November 2026 to mid-April 2027.
