Craft is Hiring: Vice President
Hi, I’m Melissa Retty, Managing Director here at Craft Public Relations.
It’s an exciting time at Craft. Over the ten years I’ve been here, we’ve grown from a scrappy start-up to an industry-leading agency of nearly 50 people. Now we’re looking for a Vice President to join our senior leadership team and help lead our growing client roster.
A bit about Craft: Lisa Pasquin founded our agency in 2015 with a clear goal: create an inspiring environment where people do great things together. Today, we’re proud to partner with brands like Keurig Dr Pepper, Hershey, Nintendo of Canada and Tim Hortons to deliver business-changing, award-winning work. But the best part of Craft is undoubtedly our culture. Case in point: earlier this year, PRovoke Media named Craft the Best Agency to Work For in North America.
Our Vice Presidents are senior agency leaders who drive accounts, teams and the overall Craft business forward. They provide trusted counsel, help grow client relationships, build and lead high-performing teams and play an active role in shaping the future of the agency. We’re looking for someone who gets excited by that kind of leadership.
The Opportunity
Playing a hands‑on role in strategic planning and campaign execution, working alongside teams to develop and deliver smart, creative and highly effective programs
Driving the growth of client relationships through new ideas, fresh proactive thinking and creative ideation
Building and leading high‑performing client teams, helping people work together at their best
Demonstrating strong financial stewardship, balancing the needs of our clients, our teams and the agency to support both short‑ and long‑term success
Bringing an “always be coaching” mindset to the team, providing guidance, feedback and development to people at every level
Developing tools, approaches and best practices that establish the Craft standard and help our teams deliver against it
Helping Craft attract, develop and retain exceptional people
Playing an active role in shaping Craft’s future – looking beyond your areas of responsibility to identify opportunities, solve agency‑wide challenges and move our business forward
What You Bring to the Table
You have significant senior‑level experience leading public relations or integrated communications programs, ideally in an agency environment
You’re a trusted client counsellor with a clear point of view who can confidently guide clients through opportunities, challenges and complex decisions
You know how to grow client relationships – spotting opportunities, bringing proactive thinking to the table and continually demonstrating value
You’re a strong strategic and creative thinker who knows how to turn business challenges into compelling communications opportunities
You know how to build and lead high‑performing teams, and you genuinely enjoy coaching people at every level to get better at what they do
You understand the financial side of agency leadership and can effectively balance client, team and business needs
You have high standards, deep curiosity and an instinct to challenge the status quo in pursuit of better work
You’re an empathetic, collaborative leader who truly believes the best things happen when we do them together
