Job DescriptionJob Description Job description: Position Description RTSWS is looking for an experienced Vacuum Operator to join our team for residential services of septic tank and holding tank cleaning. This position will report to the Supervisor and will work together to ensure all projects are done safely and on schedule. Looking for a long term employee that fits in with a small family run business! Job Tasks Operate vacuum truck safely and cautiously for residential homes, keeping driveways and lawns in mind. Understand and complete required documentation such as waste manifests, bills of lading etc. Responsible for completing pre-trip, post-trip and truck maintenance. Maintain and update drivers logbook on a daily basis Complete necessary paperwork for safety, payroll, vehicle operation, and any other day to day requirements Perform labourer duties as assigned, including the use of hand tools and operating power equipment Ensure all equipment and tooling is cleaned and stored in appropriate unit, case, or container before it is returned to the shop Key Accountabilities Maintain Health and Safety as the number one goal by following policies, processes Responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of equipment Supply a safe and effective service to our clients including serving our community with excellence in mind Timely reporting of work-related accidents/incidents to supervisor Experience, Qualifications & Education Class 1 or 3 drivers’ license with a acceptable personal drivers abstract 3 year commercial driving insurance experience Ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team and safety-focused environment Eager to learn new skills Willingness to take direction and work effectively in stressful situations Capability to multitask and adapt to new working environments - including cautious weather driving.
