Job Title: UX Designer - Intermediate Location: Toronto, Ontario Work Model: Onsite (2 3 days per week) Security Clearance: CRJMC Description / Responsibilities / Skills Application Requirements Candidate digital portfolio must be included Resume must not exceed 4 pages Shortlisted candidates must present portfolio (10 minutes) Must Have Experience leading design of complex digital services from concept to production Expert knowledge of information architecture, interaction design and user-centered design principles Experience with Figma and Axure Experience developing user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes and design artifacts Experience conducting user research, usability testing Experience designing accessible online services Experience using design and collaboration tools and applying AI tools in UX lifecycle Description Responsibilities Design user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces Define product functionality and iterate designs based on user testing Develop UI designs for digital platforms and applications Conduct user research, interviews and surveys Translate research into sitemaps, user flows, journey maps and prototypes Use AI tools such as Figma AI, Galileo AI and analytics tools to enhance design outcomes Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to align product vision General Skills Experience designing GUI interfaces for web and mobile applications Proficiency with UX and prototyping tools Strong understanding of web technologies and user interaction behavior Experience conducting user research and translating insights into design artifacts Experience designing end-to-end user experiences across multiple platforms Strong problem-solving, analytical and design thinking skills Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Skills Knowledge of network security and protocols Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements UX Design and Product Experience - 30 percent Experience designing complex digital services Strong portfolio demonstrating UI UX expertise Design Knowledge and Execution - 40 percent Expertise in information architecture and interaction design Experience creating user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes Experience conducting research and usability testing Experience designing accessible digital services Proficiency with design and collaboration tools including AI-enabled tools Portfolio and Delivery - 30 percent Demonstrated UX portfolio with recent projects Ability to present and communicate design solutions effectively
