Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Operations Supervisor, the Utilityperson is responsible for general labour duties in the mill: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Work as the Mill general labourer, managing various duties as needed Complete work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Handle all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, looking out for hazards such as heavy lifting, trips and slips Various other job duties as asked by supervisor Qualifications Completion of grade 12 or equivalent Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly evolving environment Valid driver's license Strong Organization skills Previous equipment operation or industrial experience is an asset Working Conditions: Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere. Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role. Most employees commute to site by car, and carpooling is common among team members.
