Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe’re seeking a Utilities Manager at a remote mountain resort just outside of the Golden, BC area.. This role is critical to keeping the property operational, safe, and compliant, overseeing power generation, water and wastewater systems, and supporting infrastructure.This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone experienced in complex, self-contained utility environments. Key Responsibilities Oversee operation and maintenance of all utility systems: power generation, water and wastewater treatment, fire systems, vehicles, fuels, and related infrastructure Monitor system performance, maintain logs, and proactively identify and resolve issues Lead and develop a small utilities team of 4 total (hiring, training, scheduling, performance) Implement preventative maintenance programs and manage inventory/parts Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Manage emergency responses for system failures and be on-call as needed Oversee departmental budget, reporting, and contractor/vendor relationships Qualifications Experience managing utilities in remote, off-grid, or self-contained operations (resorts, camps, industrial sites, municipalities) Strong technical knowledge of power generation, water and wastewater systems Relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain) Proven leadership and hands-on troubleshooting ability Comfortable working in a dynamic, remote environment with on-call responsibilities Details $70-80k annual salary with possible wiggle room for the right candidate On site staff accommodation available This is a very remote location and there is no cell service on site, only Wi-Fi.
