The role reports to the Head of U.S. & Canada Industrials & Transportation and entails managing a team of approximately 20 analysts covering approximately 150–170 rated issuers across the Industrials sector. How You’ll Make An Impact Direct managerial responsibility for a team of approximately 20 analysts covering approximately 150–170 public and private debt issuers, including investment‑grade and speculative‑grade rated companies. Provide credit leadership in the ratings process, ensuring consistent application of Fitch’s criteria and methodologies. Articulate Fitch’s credit views and sector outlook in meetings, conference calls, and industry roundtables, and in written research, in an engaging and dynamic manner. Foster a positive, collaborative and high‑performing work environment and contribute to the overall ethos of the U.S. and Canada Corporates rating team. Be a highly visible presence for external stakeholders in the ratings process, including industry management teams, institutional investors, buy‑side and sell‑side analysts, and the media. Champion analytical excellence and operational efficiency by adopting best practices and leveraging new technologies. You May Be a Good Fit If 15+ years of relevant experience in a capital markets and/or credit analysis role. Experience managing people and teams. A healthy sense of intellectual curiosity and a lifelong learning mindset. A demonstrated willingness and ability to attack and explain topics of analytical complexity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. CFA preferred. Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change. Ability to excel in a team‑oriented environment. FOR NEW YORK AND CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $270,000 and $310,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job‑related factors.
