Ultrasound Technologist – Contract (0–2 yrs) New York, NY Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Monday–Friday Contract Type: Travel / Part-Time Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital imaging department. The role involves patient preparation, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing diagnostic images, and supporting radiologists with accurate imaging data. Responsibilities Perform and assist in ultrasound examinations following department protocols Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment safely Capture and transfer images to PACS for radiologist interpretation Ensure patient safety and equipment safety during procedures Maintain adequate supplies and department readiness Assist with scheduling and patient transport coordination when required Support onboarding and training of new ultrasound staff Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records Required Qualifications ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) BLS Certification Minimum 2 years ultrasound technologist experience (0–2 yrs contract acceptable per posting) Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR accredited ultrasound training program Strong communication, accuracy, and patient care skills Experience with PACS preferred For more details reach at mdeshpande@navitashealth.com About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a Joint Commission Certified / WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
