Things that matter… Willingness to collaborate with a team Excitement for the job and what we are building Willingness to learn new skills and adapt current skill set Job Brief The ideal candidate will have experience in creating mockups to present to teams, collecting feedback and creating a quality piece of work. This individual should be comfortable with building sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes to provide to project manners and inevitably execute based on outlined criteria. This candidate should have strong creative and design skills and be familiar with various design technologies. Responsibilities Develop design solutions for various platforms Build sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes to outline structure Design beautiful, responsive, visual interfaces for our web & mobile applications Create clear and effective design documentation Guild out of wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes Work in combination with graphic design team on technical illustration, and video Requirements Bachelor's degree in user experience, design or related field A few years of experience as a UX or UI designer, graphic designer or front-end developer with strong UI skills working on websites, web apps, and/or mobile apps. Modern design frameworks such as Material Design. A strong understanding of user experience design processes and methods. An interest in working on complex design problems that cover web, and mobile user experiences. Software understanding of Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of CSS. Good knowledge of compatibility and cross-browser issues Excellent English written and verbal communication Figma experience (*bonus) Salary will be offered on a candidate-by-candidate basis This position is requesting to be funded by the Government of Canada under the Innovation, Science, and Economic Development of Canada, Digital Skills for Youth program.
