Job Overview:
As a
UI Implementor
you’re experienced in designing, executing, and implementing game user interface assets and animations. Prior game development experience for mobile & PC platforms and proven illustration, graphic design and motion graphic skills are highly valued.
*Whilst this position is being offered on a remote basis, we are only able to consider applicants who are currently located in BC, and ideally within the greater Vancouver area
Requirements
In this role, you will:
Build and implement UI art and animations
Work closely with UX, designers, and engineers to set up screens and animations
Create UI layouts and high fidelity graphics with Lead Artist
Work closely with engineers to integrate assets and animations within tech specifications for multiple platforms in editor
Rapidly iterate and develop solutions to design challenges while following creative and art direction
Address and integrate feedback from various departments to achieve bug-free and polished user experience
Assist the Lead Artist in any necessary duties
To be successful in this role, you must have:
3+ years of experience developing interactive interfaces in game engine or web-based UI editors and tools;
At least one shipped game title; An exceptional online portfolio featuring examples of your 2D UI work.
A Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, or Illustration or equivalent work experience;
Unity, Unreal or other game engine experience
An ability to translate complex information into a user-friendly layout
Good Understanding of art/animation fundamentals and how to apply them in game assets
Strong visual design skills (i.e., composition, layout, typography, colour theory)
A passion for problem-solving as well as strong organizational and analytical skills;
An obsession for getting designs to pixel perfect;
The ability to accept direction, work well in a fast-paced environment;
Expert knowledge of 2D art tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects
