Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and acuities
- Manage ventilator support and perform prescribed therapies, including administration and monitoring
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests when appropriate (e.g., ABG analyses) and adjust treatment per protocol
- Apply advanced critical care and ventilator skills; care for neonatal and pediatric populations as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document care accurately, and ensure patient safety and infection control standards
- Respond to alarms, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as part of the care team
Requirements
- Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing; active RRT credential required
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AAP) – ALL REQUIRED
- Neonatal and pediatric experience with demonstrated critical care/ventilator skills
- Ability to work in a hospital setting as a travel Respiratory Therapist; meet travel-specific requirements including the 75-mile radius rule
- Documentation of required items: Skill Sheet; AHA certifications; Colorado RT license; resume
