Certifications: BLS and NIH required. ACLS preferred.
Must-Have:
- Telemetry experience
- Cardiovascular skills including post cardiac angiogram and post MI management
- Gastrointestinal skills such as feeding tube care
- Genitourinary/renal skills including pre/post hemodialysis management
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills
- Medication management skills including cardiac drips
- Neurological/psychiatric case experience
- Orthopedic case experience
- Plastic surgery case experience
- Respiratory skills including the care of ventilated patients
Description:
Position specialty is IMC/Stepdown/PCU RN.
Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12 days.
Will work every other weekend.
Floating within the facility is required.
The unit has a 1:4 patient ratio with a free charge nurse.
Candidates will care for a diverse patient population.
Candidates must possess cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills.
Experience with dysrhythmia management and telemetry is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions and wound care.
Candidates are expected to be involved in high acuity situations, rapidly changing environments,
and have experience with interdisciplinary support teams.
The working environment is fast-paced with a high patient throughput.
Clinical documentation is performed using a specified electronic health record system.
Preferences include experience in a teaching hospital or trauma center.
