Driver Responsibilities
Safely operate transport trucks on assigned local routes
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight
Complete daily inspections and report any equipment issues
Maintain accurate logs and documentation
Comply with all provincial regulations, company policies, and safety standards
Represent Shoreland Transport professionally with customers and the public
Job Requirements
Valid
Class 1 license (Nova Scotia)
Criminal background check
Verifiable driving experience
Clean driving record and strong safety history
Ability to perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
Dependable, punctual, and safety‑focused
Strong communication skills – written and spoken
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets (Not Required)
Experience with refrigerated or food‑grade freight
Familiarity with Nova Scotia local routes
Strong customer‑service skills
