Job Title: Training Specialist - Senior Location: Toronto, Ontario Work Model: Onsite Security Clearance: CRJMC Description / Responsibilities / Skills Must Have Experience facilitating adult learning programs using multiple delivery methods Experience developing training materials including guides, facilitation materials and online modules Strong proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems and MS Office Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Experience engaging stakeholders and building strong working relationships Description Responsibilities Conduct training needs assessments aligned with OPS change management practices Design and develop comprehensive training curricula and materials Deliver training programs through classroom and virtual sessions Develop e-learning content using authoring tools Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement strategies Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs and project teams to define training requirements Liaise with development, QA teams and vendors during implementation Act as a bridge between technical and business teams Support testing activities and training validation processes Facilitate workshops and training sessions for end users Identify and escalate issues and provide resolution recommendations General Skills Strong experience in training program development and delivery Knowledge of adult education theories and learning methodologies Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to present technical and non-technical content effectively Strong organizational and project coordination skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Desirable Skills Knowledge of adult education theories, principles and practices Knowledge of Ontario Design System (ODS) and Digital Service Standard Experience with healthcare systems such as EMR, HIS or clinical systems Knowledge of personal health information protection legislation Skills Training Specialist Experience - 40% Experience leading training needs assessment activities Experience designing and developing training programs and materials Experience delivering training using classroom, virtual and e-learning approaches Experience evaluating training effectiveness and continuous improvement Experience managing training programs as part of project delivery Relationship Management - 30% Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills Ability to collaborate with SMEs, project teams and vendors Strong facilitation, consulting and negotiation skills Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders Strong problem-solving and issue resolution capabilities Business and IT Knowledge - 15% Proficiency with e-learning tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia Knowledge of learning management systems and MS Office tools Knowledge of AODA and accessibility standards Awareness of OPS change management practices Adult Education and Domain Experience - 15% Experience facilitating adult learning programs Knowledge of training methodologies and delivery models Experience supporting healthcare-related systems training (EMR, HIS, clinical systems) Understanding of healthcare compliance and data privacy requirements
