Compensation and Benefits Starting wages of $31.25/hr Paid overtime after 40/hours per week Company Performance Bonuses We offer a very extensive benefit program: Company Paid time off: Up to 10 Days + 5 Float Days to start, 15 Days + 5 Float Days (1 st full year) Benefits start from Day 1 – 90% Medical, 80% Dental, Variety of Paramedical Coverage ($500/service) Uniforms are Provided + Yearly Allowance + Yearly Safety Boot Allowance Employee Assistance Program provided through Manulife/Homewood Employee Appreciation Events and Celebrations throughout the year and $Cash Recognition Programs Reporting to the TPS Supervisor, it is the responsibility of the TPS Engineer to review the entire plant as a ‘system’ and through TPS Kaizen techniques, implement improvements in all areas from material flow to assembly processes. Duties and Responsibilities: Process design & implementing of assembly cells Direct the building of work stations Working with external & internal groups to purchase jigs/fixtures and other items Analyze and improve production processes using TPS and Industrial Engineering methods Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize labor efficiency Material flow and capacity planning simulations Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement improvements Plant layout updates. Maintenance of good 5S Support TPS Group with special projects & continuous improvement initiatives as needed Required to multitask – handle multiple tasks of varying importance and urgency Qualifications: Industrial Engineering University Degree or similar education / experience Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and AutoCAD Knowledge of TPS principles Mechanically inclined PLC & Basic Automation Principles knowledge an asset Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. A passion to innovate, create & experiment Ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple priorities Shift: Office hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) Nature of vacancy: Replacement
