Job Title: Toolmaker Location: Latrobe, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $45,760.00 - $54,080.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite - onsite Hours: 40.0 Responsibilities + Complete mold repairs and modifications necessary for the production of acceptable molded plastic products. + Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for problem molds assigned by the Director of Tech Services. + Set up and operate all tool room equipment using very close tolerances. + Read mold drawings or hand sketches to complete repairs or tool modifications. + Perform mold cleaning and rework according to facility procedures. + Maintain proper records of activities on molds and time required to complete jobs. + Handle special project assignments and report results to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager verbally and in writing. + Keep updated files on all projects. + Report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager regarding relevant matters. Requirements + Four-year tool and die apprenticeship (U.S. Department of Labor-approved). + Ability to troubleshoot and repair molds with high precision. + Experience reading mold drawings or sketches. + Knowledge of mold cleaning and rework procedures. + Strong recordkeeping skills. + Excellent communication and reporting skills. + Commitment to safety standards and manufacturing policies.
