Your Key Responsibilities
Pre‑set tooling for all required production processes within a specific area
Inspect and assess tooling condition to determine suitability for production usage; refer unfit tooling to Process Engineering and/or Tool Design for disposition
Set up and operate a CNC lathe for the purpose of pre‑setting and turning Jaws
Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
Responsible for quality timely readiness of pre‑sets within a specified area; calibration and adjustment of all Shoe centerless systems is required; assist in monitoring of machine set up problems and take corrective action in a timely manner
Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work
Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in tooling databases, routers, IMS, and any other production tracking systems
Required to train other operators as needed
May be required to work in other departments
Ability to read and interpret all production prints for the purpose of selecting the required pre‑tooling set up sheets
Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work
Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas
Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through the company Certified Operator Program
Your Qualifications
Education: Grade 12 diploma
Experience: Mechanical aptitude
