Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:
MFM Limited Partnership is looking for an individual to join our team as aTool Repair Technicianin Fort McMurray, AB.
As aTool Repair Technician, you will support and learn from experienced Tool Repair Technicians in repairing, inspection, and certifications for both heavy duty and light duty industrial tools and equipment.
Schedule: 4 days on 3 days off working 10 hours per day shift rotation
Work Location:
Mainly based at the MFM Tools facility in Fort McMurray. Work locations may change occasionally due to operational requirements (potential for site-based work)
Overtime Eligibility:
Some overtime may be required on occasion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect & diagnose failures on various components such as: Pumps, Motors, Welding machines, Power Units, control circuits, automated cutting systems etc.
Disassembly/inspection/repair of electrical tools,
Perform certification testing and documentation of welding machines and related equipment
Maintain, calibrate and repair in house equipment as required.
Small tool repair as assigned
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated commitment to working safely
Comfortable working with hydraulic pressure up to 10,000psi
Comfortable working with voltage ranges 16-600 vac and 12-600 vdc (welding machines) Will be seen as an asset.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in team environment and independently
Maintain clean/organized work environment
Requirements:
Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License is mandatory
Eligible to work at all the Oil Sand sites in Fort McMurray
Mechanically inclined
Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification
Able to successfully obtain clearance of Pre-access Alcohol & Drug Screening test
