Wage: $34.00 $42.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Precision Stamping Group (PSG) is a growing automotive metal stamping manufacturer serving customers throughout the automotive and manufacturing industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team.
The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring that production dies, tooling and related equipment are properly maintained, repaired and ready to meet production, quality and customer requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair production dies and tooling.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on dies and related tooling.
Diagnose tooling problems and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
Perform die adjustments, modifications and improvements as required.
Support production during tooling-related issues and breakdowns.
Ensure production tooling and dies are maintained and ready to meet customer, quality and production requirements.
Inspect tooling and components for wear, damage and proper operation.
Repair, fit and replace die components as required.
Assist with die changeovers, troubleshooting and production support.
Work with Production, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance personnel to identify and resolve tooling concerns.
Support continuous improvement activities related to tooling performance, reliability and quality.
Support mistake-proofing and die-sensoring initiatives to improve defect detection and process reliability.
Maintain accurate records relating to tooling repairs, maintenance and modifications.
Maintain the tool crib and ensure adequate spare-parts inventory is available to support production and minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Follow all company health and safety procedures, policies and established work practices.
Perform other tooling-related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate should have:
Tool & Die Maker experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with metal stamping dies and production tooling.
Experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining stamping dies.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret tooling drawings, specifications and technical information.
Ability to safely operate the tools and equipment required for tool and die repair.
Strong understanding of precision measurement and fitting.
Ability to diagnose tooling issues and determine appropriate corrective action.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance.
Automotive manufacturing and production stamping experience is considered a strong asset.
Tool & Die certification/licence or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE
Candidates must be able to work according to production requirements, which may include:
Overtime
Weekends as required
Holidays as required
Additional hours to support production and tooling requirements
COMPENSATION
$34.00 $42.00 per hour
Compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the successful candidates qualifications, skills and relevant experience.
