Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The purpose of this role is to oversee all technical, system, and reporting functions within the ROP department in order to ensure business continuity, process improvement, and KPI target attainment. This role will be the point of contact for the department and cross functional teams on any issues related to restaurant proposals, forecasts, reporting, and systems.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Department Support
Act as the technical resource for ROP planners and Team Leads
The technical planner will be the primary escalation point for ROP planners relating to systems, analytics, data, and technical issues.
Will work closely with department Manager and Team Leads on analysis, data retrieval, system management, and technical issue resolution.
Provide technical support and analysis for restaurants and planners related to system settings and forecasts
Provide technical support and analysis during events that impact supply to restaurants as related to ROP (supply shortages, recoveries, restrictions)
Provide technical support for key projects and initiatives (Invisible Ordering)
Technical support and analysis for ad hoc issues as they arise
Manage the ROP inputs that impact order proposals at macro level
The ROP technical planner will be the primary lead to ensure consistency and accuracy in the system. They will also act as the primary escalation point for ROP Planners.
Conduct monthly yield analysis and updates
Review restaurant safety stock report and provide direction to ROP Planners
Regular DFU cleansing
Kompass system maintenance (BOM, discontinue dates, demand forecast units, SKUs, user info, etc)
Management of any issues related to PIPOs
Forecast management at a macro level
The ROP Technical planner will be responsible for our BMI forecast accuracy, and will act as the primary resource for the ROP Planners to ensure there is consistency between our BMI and AI forecast
Monitor and maintain demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons nationwide using the KOMPASS JDA Software
Provide adequate and timely reporting to the department Manager and Team leads on forecast issues, trends, analysis, and improvements
Manage overrides, events, and issues
Daily, weekly, monthly review to ensure consistency and accuracy, issue resolution, and KPI target achievement
Primary point of contact for Blue Yonder
Collaborate with Supply & Demand Planning teams and other areas of operations to mitigate sudden changes in demand at the restaurant level
Review of proposal consistency report
Focus on KPI improvement
Primarily responsible for Forecast Accuracy, OPAS, OMR
Identify and implement improvements that can be made to specific restaurants/items
Provide reporting to the department Manager and Team Leads on results
Align on proper communication to restaurants with the ROP planner on the impact of specific metrics and areas of improvement
Provide prescriptive analytics and insights based on data trends
Coordinate and participate with ROP planners on regular check in calls
Support ROP, Supply Chain, and Operations during product shortages
Use data based metrics to determine who might be a risk during a shortage event
Analyze product allocation when supply constraints exist
Manage item restrictions as necessary
Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure fluid communication, process improvement, issue resolution, and end to end support.
Ensure all systems, data, and information meet business requirements as they relate to ROP
Develop understanding of back end system in collaboration with SCIS, CDM, Training Systems and Process TeamQA testing support for JDE / MBSync / KOMPASS connectivityAssist in the training of new hires as needed
Process Optimization
Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes that support the collaboration and effectiveness of the National Supply Chain Team.
Collaborate with SCIS team in managing Blue Yonder relationship and LDE effectiveness
Coordinate with DnA team to manage existing PowerBI reports and implement new ones as needed for the ROP department
Work with Team Leads to fully implement new systems such as MBStryve
Lead UAT testing, CR development
Maintain training & user guides specific to system, reporting, and technical functionsOther projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
University or College Degree or equivalent experience
2-3 years experience within the Supply Chain Field
Proficient knowledge of JDE, JDA, Cognos, Power BI
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong team player
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in a high pressured environment
Ability to develop good cross functional, and collaborative working relationships
