Location -
This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Learning Environments, the Team Lead – Digital Assessment Services is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and continuous improvement of the Learning Assessment Centre (LAC) portfolio. This includes overseeing the delivery of digital assessment services, leading operational planning and process improvements, and promoting and expanding the LAC's flexible digital exam services across the University of Alberta and through partnerships with external exam agencies. The Team Lead is responsible for planning and executing the business strategy of the LAC, as well as designing the booking and delivery of the digital exams within the LAC. The Team Lead oversees 10 casual proctor employees and two full-time employees—the Coordinator/Administrator and the Lead Proctor—and works collaboratively with them to ensure the daily operational needs of the LAC are met. The Team Lead is also responsible for strategically planning and developing opportunities to expand LAC services across the university and in collaboration with external partners.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the operations and staff of the Learning Assessment Centre.
Promote the Learning Assessment Centre Services throughout the University of Alberta and to external exam and certification exam agencies.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all clients of the Learning Assessment Centre.
Develop future strategies to promote and expand the Learning Assessment Centre services.
Qualifications
A degree in education or adult education (master’s degree in education or assessment is an asset) or experience in running an exam centre at a post-secondary institution.
This position is subject to all applicable terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the Governors of the University of Alberta and the Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA).
