As a Tax Payable Administrator, you will manage the payment process for real estate property tax and environmental invoicing across Canada and the United States, ensuring timely payments to taxing authorities and third-party environmental consultants. Your goal will be to maintain accurate records, liaise with external consultants to resolve discrepancies, review environmental scopes of work, and issue purchase orders while preparing reports and updating databases to support process improvements. Your success will be measured by your ability to efficiently handle US personal property declarations, Maine 801's returns and BETR filings, maintain organized documentation, and assist with team site tours.

Your Responsibilities
Manage real estate tax and environmental payable process, including the receipt, verification, and processing of invoices (CA & US)
Ensure timely payments to taxing authorities and 3rd party environmental consultants and maintain accurate records of all transactions
Liaise with external consultants and taxing authorities to resolve discrepancies, verify invoicing and receipt of payments
Review environmental Scopes of Work to ensure accuracy and issue Purchase Orders related thereto
Prepare reports related to property tax and environmental contract payable activities and provide insights for process improvements
Maintain organized records of all payable documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and proof of payment
Maintain and regularly update environmental and property tax databases for payment tracking, reporting, change orders, requisitions and claims.
Manage process and issuance of US personal property declarations and the Maine 801's returns and BETR through Maine Revenue Service
Assist with the preparation of team site tours
Your Skills
Proficient in MS Office applications (Access, Excel) and financial software such as Oracle and Inspyrus
Strong analytical and reporting skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing responsibilities, and managing time efficiently in fast-paced environments
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders
Collaborative team player who responds well to direction and contributes to group success
Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience in related field
