Systems Testing / QA Specialist – Job Summary This role is a senior QA Automation and Manual Testing Specialist position focused on end-to-end testing, accessibility compliance (AODA), defect management, test automation, and quality assurance across web and mobile applications. The consultant will be responsible for creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, executing various testing types, and ensuring software quality throughout the SDLC. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts . Perform: Functional Testing System Testing Integration Testing Regression Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Performance/Load Testing Security & Penetration Testing Accessibility (AODA) Testing Create and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, Postman, etc. Manage defects using Azure DevOps and lead defect triage sessions. Validate data integrity through backend/database testing and SQL queries. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers. Support CI/CD testing initiatives and automation execution. Perform bilingual testing (asset). Requirements Must-Have Skills QA & Testing 5–10 years of QA experience. Strong experience with: Functional Testing Regression Testing System Integration Testing UAT Testing AODA Accessibility Testing Security & Penetration Testing Load/Performance Testing Experience creating: Test Strategies Test Plans Test Cases Test Scenarios Test Data Automation Testing 5+ years developing automation scripts. Experience with Selenium, UFT/OpenText, TestComplete, Postman or similar tools. Experience executing and maintaining automation suites. Strong regression automation experience. Defect Management Extensive experience with: Azure DevOps Defect triage Defect reporting Root cause analysis Defect summary reporting Accessibility (AODA) Experience with: Screen Readers Colour Contrast Tools Syntax Checkers WAI-ARIA HTML5 Accessibility Standards Ability to recommend accessibility remediation solutions. Technical Skills Database testing and SQL queries. Experience generating test data. Understanding of: Java Angular Web and Mobile Technologies CI/CD environments Nice-to-Have Skills Prior OPS (Ontario Public Service) experience. Public sector/government experience. Contact Centre application testing experience. Bilingual testing experience. Experience with COTS applications. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: 7–10 years of QA experience. Strong Automation Testing background. Hands-on Azure DevOps experience. Accessibility (AODA) testing expertise. Experience leading defect triage meetings. Strong test strategy and test planning capabilities. Web, Mobile, and Contact Centre testing experience. Previous OPS/Government project experience would be highly preferred.
