Job Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented System Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training for DIBT Building Automation Systems and platforms. This role supports partner education through classroom, virtual, and eLearning environments while helping maintain and expand training content as products and technologies evolve.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical Building Automation Systems (BAS) knowledge with excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills, and is comfortable traveling internationally for training delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and update technical training materials for classroom instruction, virtual training, and eLearning courses
Create new content to support evolving products
Produce instructional videos and screen-capture training content
Deliver training in-person locally and internationally, and virtually using Microsoft Teams or similar platforms
Manage online learning activities through Moodle-based LMS, including training distribution, tests, quizzes, exercises, student grading and evaluations
Coordinate training logistics, materials, and grading with the Training Supervisor and Administrative Assistant
Maintain training equipment and lab materials, including controllers, wiring setups, tools, and testing devices
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Degree or Technical Certification in Controls, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong technical understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Previous experience as a trainer, teacher, or technical instructor
Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging technical training content
Strong presentation and classroom management abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on BAS field/application experience, including system configuration, programming, installation, and commissioning
Experience with DIBT Loytec and Delta Controls product lines
Understanding of HVAC control systems, BACnet and BACnet networking principles, Direct Digital Controls (DDC), access control and lighting systems, and GUI design principles
Experience creating training videos using Camtasia or similar tools

Hybrid for local hires (3 days on-site, 2 days remote); fully remote for U.S.-based hires

Salary:
$80,000 to $95,000
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
