Partner with the Best As a System & Instrumentation (S&I) Field Services Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and performing field service and maintenance activities at customer locations. This includes supporting installation, inspection, repair, refurbishment, and commissioning both new and existing equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and high‑quality service delivery. Fuel Your Passion As a System & Instrumentation (S&I) Field Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting customer operations by ensuring the reliability and performance of their critical rotating equipment and monitoring systems. You will work closely with customers across industries to deliver high-quality field services, minimize downtime, and enhance asset performance through technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and strong service execution. As a System & Instrumentation (S&I) Field Services Specialist, you will be responsible for: Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Bently Nevada hardware and software systems across Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and other process industries Performing on-site maintenance, inspection, repair, and life-extension activities for rotating equipment and monitoring systems Supporting construction, installation, and commissioning activities for new and existing equipment at customer sites Executing services in alignment with customer schedules, scope of work, and contractual requirements Coordinating with cross-functional teams, field personnel, and customer representatives to ensure effective service delivery Installing and configuring transducers, probes, and machine condition monitoring systems Diagnosing system and instrumentation issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions Supporting inspection, diagnostics, and specialized service activities as required Completing all installation, commissioning, and service documentation, including reports and invoicing requirements, in a timely manner Ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Driving customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery and professional engagement Supporting business growth initiatives by maintaining strong customer relationships and identifying improvement opportunities To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or a high school diploma/GED with relevant service experience (minimum 4 years). Have experience in field service, instrumentation, or rotating equipment environments. Have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Have the willingness to travel up to 70%, including remote and offshore locations, and work extended hours as required. Have a valid driver’s license. Desired Characteristics Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and in team environments. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities with a hands-on approach. Experience in rotating machinery systems and control systems. Familiarity with tools such as: Bently Nevada TK-Series test kits RTD and thermocouple calibrators Digital multimeters (DMM), function generators, and power supplies Standard instrumentation and hand tools Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
