We're looking for a
Survey Party Chief and Locator
in
Grande Prairie, AB
to lead one of our energy survey crews and handle locates on our projects. Ideally, you have oilfield survey and locating experience and want to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company.
The Work:
Lead surveys of wellsites, pipeline rights-of-way and construction projects in the Grande Prairie area and across Western Canada
Locate and mark buried pipelines, cables and other underground facilities before ground disturbance
Use electromagnetic locating equipment, GPS and other survey equipment
Mentor and guide survey assistants on your crew
Keep clear, accurate field notes, records and locate documentation
Follow safety protocols and ground disturbance procedures, and set the standard for your crew
Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, including remote locations
Travel for field rotations of up to 21 days
What you bring to the table:
A geomatics diploma or degree from a technical college
Experience leading an oilfield survey crew
Experience locating underground facilities
Ground Disturbance Level II certification
Experience with legal surveys in the Alberta Township System
Experience on industrial construction sites and in remote bush conditions
A valid Class 5 driver's licence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
