We're looking for a
Survey Assistant
in
Edmonton, AB
to join one of our field crews. Ideally, you have some survey industry experience and want to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company.
The Work:
Support your party chief on oilfield and/or construction survey projects across Western Canada
Set up, use and look after GPS and other survey equipment
Collect survey data and help with other field tasks as directed by your party chief
Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site
Follow safety protocols and help keep the work site safe
Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, including remote locations
Travel for field rotations of up to 21 days
What you bring to the table:
A high school diploma and an interest in the geomatics industry
Post-secondary geomatics education is an asset
Familiarity with the work of a survey crew
Experience working outdoors in bush conditions and on industrial construction sites
Current First Aid, H2S Alive or CSTS certification (or equivalent)
A valid Class 5 driver's licence
Experience riding ATVs and snowmobiles
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test when required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
