QualificationsCertification/Experience/Knowledge Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Secretarial Course or equivalent required Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent required Patient registration experience required Experience in a clerical/reception position required Keyboarding (45 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) skills required Administrative experience in the clinic setting Knowledge of automated booking systems required Extensive knowledge of Meditech Expanse community wide scheduling Experience with Mosaic scheduling system Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Knowledge of collective agreements, payroll time sheet experiences an asset Skills/Abilities Strong organizational skills required Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focussed care, delivery, and positive customer relations required Willingness to be trained to work in multiple fast paced, changing environments and adapt to multiple health teams and work routines Ability to transcribe Physician’s orders an asset Ability to work with minimal supervision required Good attendance and work record is required Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required.
