POSITION SUMMARY
The Materials and Traffic Business Manager will drive continuous improvement across the Materials organization through data-driven analysis, process optimization, and proactive risk management. This role leads a team responsible for developing KPIs, dashboards, and insights that improve cost, service, and operational performance. Working closely with Materials leadership, Customs and Traffic, Engineering, and cross-functional teams, this position identifies performance gaps, implements corrective actions, reduces logistics costs, and strengthens visibility on material risks, while supporting engineering change and obsolescence management processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead and develop a team of analysts and specialists to drive analytical excellence and continuous improvement
Drive process, tool, and performance improvements across Planning, Materials, and Traffic functions
Own Materials KPIs and executive dashboards; deliver clear insights, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations
Identify risks and performance gaps early; implement proactive mitigation strategies
Optimize freight and logistics costs, including delivery performance and route efficiency
Standardize and enhance Materials processes, tools, and work instructions, including MAKE part monitoring
Lead Materials engagement in engineering change (ECN) and proactively manage cost, inventory, lead time, and obsolescence risks
Own the Materials Obsolescence Program and inventory risk control framework
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or Operations related field
5 years or more in a fast-paced OEM environment
5 years or more in a senior supply chain role with strong process systems experience
Strong global relationship management experience, with the ability to effectively influence partners, team members, business leaders, and supplier executives
Proven ability to inspire change, manage conflict, align diverse perspectives, and drive agreement on goals
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on identifying and optimizing processes
Demonstrated success in leading organizational change, process improvements, and project management initiatives
Skilled in analyzing processes and data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency
Up to 30% of travel is required for this position.
