Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
Immediate, open position
$70,000 - $95,000 annual compensation
Completion of a college diploma or university degree in quality, engineering or a related field required
Minimum of one-year previous experience in an automotive environment working with quality systems required
Knowledge of Six Sigma, quality systems; IATF, FMEAs, Control Plans, Standardized work, Mafact and auditing required
Basic understanding of mould, painting, chrome plating, stamping and electrical production preferred
Proficient in MS Office and databases
Statistical knowledge is an asset
Knowledge of IMDS and warranty systems
Dealing with suppliers and customers regarding quality issues
Must be quality minded, safety conscious & reliable
Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
Ability to handle stressful situations
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Organizational skills to keep work area clean and tidy at all times
MAIN DUTIES:
Manages all aspects of a supplier relationship ensuring excellent supplier quality and delivery
Ensures supplier compliance with IATF 16949/ISO 9001 through audits as required and follows up on corrective actions
Deals with internal and external day to day quality issues. Issues QPFs and 8Ds when required
Completes APQP activities (PPAP, Launch/ECNs, GD&T) and safe launch
Participates in cross functional teams for new programs
Performs internal and supplier audits
Monitors supplier performance, product quality and product launches
Manages and maintains a supplier database
Prepares various weekly, monthly and annual quality reports
Monitors warranty data for Polycon and suppliers
Updates IMDS data base for new programs and components
Interacting with suppliers and customers, review and present corrective actions for supplied components
Performs all job functions in a safe, healthy and environmentally conscious manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations as outlined in the company handbook
Performs other duties as assigned
