Summary The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Operations Supervisor. This role will report to the Senior Practice Manager and supervisor clinical support staff including Medical Assistants and Patient Support Service Coordinators. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced leaders who are change agents and strategic thinkers who have the leadership skills to inspire teamwork and excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage previous experience to implement new and updated processes to support operations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to display a professional and positive attitude. The ability to work independently and collaboratively across the Department. Is detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and has strong organizational skills. This position is located at our McNair Campus. Job Duties Supervises the daily clinical operations of a unit including, but not limited to, physician schedule oversight, quality improvement, patient satisfaction, clinical efficiency, and physician support. Supervises department revenue cycle functions including appointment authorizations, workqeue's, & post-service claims. Supervises staff, to include: assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, maintaining schedules, establishing goals, training, providing feedback on performance, professional development, and on-going performance evaluations. Contributes to the implementation of process improvement goals that support the clinical enterprise, patient access, and clinical reporting. Ensures Compliance with College and clinical policies and procedures, including Emergency cart, quality assurance, and safety measures. Perform medication inventory reconciliation on an frequent basis. Drives care delivery and patient access success through our ‘live answer’ workforce. Oversees and maintains clinic supplies inventory. May assist with special projects. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Three years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting and revenue cycle functions. Proficiency in EPIC. Work Authorization Requirement: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
