We believe that those who go together, go further. The OpportunityWe are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team at Corus Orthodontists. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting this position will play a key role in overseeing our organization's financial operations. The Accounting Supervisor position requires a strong background in full-cycle accounting, leadership experience, and proficiency with accounting software. The successful candidate will oversee the daily accounting activities, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, guide the accounting team and review their work. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position from our Calgary, AB office. What You Will Be Doing: Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with ASPE and company policies. Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Review the work of the junior accounting team. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Support external audits and tax filings as needed. Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices. Review accounting standards accounting memos before submission to the accounting leadership team. May be required to perform other related duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned. About You: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is required. Minimum of 4 years of accounting or audit experience. Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting or audit team. Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct ERP is highly preferable. Computer literate – Strong Proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong understanding of ASPE and other relevant accounting principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. #BIZ
