Job Summary: As an integral member of the Central Administrative Council and the senior leadership team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the Board of Education's strategic direction is realized. The Superintendent of School Operations provides leadership and operational support to a designated cluster of schools, while overseeing a collaborative portfolio tailored to divisional needs and the successful candidate's strength. Primary Responsibilities: Provides direct operational and educational leadership and support to a cohort of schools. Provides leadership and strategic direction for assigned portfolio items. Accountable for student well-being and learning within a cohort of schools. Ensures the Board's strategic plan, priorities, and direction are achieved. Assists with hiring, recruitment, and retention of school-based personnel on cooperation with Human Resources. Develops budgets and plans related to an assigned portfolio and the school division's strategic plan. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of school-based administrators, school staff, interns, and other staff as required. Leads and participates in workplace investigations as required. Represents Prairie South Schools to external partners as required. Aware of and demonstrates effective practices in alignment with Board Policy 12. Keeps the Director of Education fully informed of all matters related to assigned portfolio. Perform other duties required or assigned by the Director of Education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with others respectfully, professionally, and productively. Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Strong "crucial conversation skills" to proactively address and resolve challenging issues in a timely manner. Proven ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time. Initiative, creativity and a dedication to continued professional growth and system efficiency. Education & Qualifications: Master's Degree in Education or a related field. Demonstrated successful leadership experience at the school or system level.
