Title: Student Worker (Culinary Lab Set-Up)- Temporary Part-Time Department: Business and Computer Technology (Culinary Arts) Campus : Hardin Valley Campus Closing Date: Open until Filled Type of Appointment: Temporary Part-Time Pay Rate: $13.00 for no experience, $14.00 for 6 months experience, $ 15.00 for 9 months of experience Work Hours : 20 hours per week Position Summary: To assist the Interim Director of Culinary Arts with handling the delivery, receiving, and set-up of items procured for the Culinary Arts facility; and communicating with supervisors on procured item details. Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate with the Interim Director for Culinary Arts to schedule and set up the Culinary Arts facility at the Blount County campus location. • Experience and knowledge to receive, unpack, inspect, clean, store and organize all items purchased for the Culinary Arts facility. • Ensure that the purchased items are in new and perfect operating condition. • Maintain receiving schedules for item deliveries. • Receive and verify that packing slips match items and key requisition paperwork. • Maintain receiving location in a manner that maximizes delivery expediency and ease of access. • Enter all received items into a spreadsheet for maintaining proper inventory recording processes. • Report and communicate with supervisor daily to update supervisor on issues pertaining to all receiving, unpacking, and deliveries daily Note: The College reserves the right to change or reassign job duties, or combine positions at any time. Required Qualifications: • Must have a pleasant attitude • Must have good customer service skills, • Must have good computer skills including knowledge in Office 365 software including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel software • Must be punctual and eager to work • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, MS Excel) Working conditions · Understanding of restaurant equipment and supplies to aid in the receiving process. · Must be able to lift items that are 30lbs or more. · Ability to receive, unpack and organize items in a manner that creates efficiency and excellent workflow.
