Job DescriptionJob Description NOW HIRING - STRATEGIC SOURCING SPECIALIST Job Description: Our client is currently seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management team on an 18-month contract. As the Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you are responsible for a variety of Operation & Maintenance services. The prime focus of the role is to drive cost efficiency to increase profitability of existing and new assets and manage a 35MM project. The role is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiations and administering executed contracts to secure and preserve value. Services can include electrical, mechanical, maintenance labor, scaffolding, insulation service and equipment rentals. Must have: - 5-10 years of experience with services contracts in construction projects - Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering, commerce, etc. - 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing - Strong understanding strategic sourcing, contract management, and purchasing. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proven negotiation skills. - Course in Canadian bidding laws required in place of relevant Canadian Experience Nice to have: - supply chain management designation - plant environment experience - experience with construction services contracts (civil, earthworks, pilings, electrical) - experience with Canadian bidding laws Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
