Forecast Coffee Is hiring! *Village Square location Starting wage $20/hr, plus great tips paid out weekly Forecast Coffee in our popular Village Square location are hiring! Serving excellent coffee, a tasty brunch & lunch menu, draft beers & cocktails - this is a rare opportunity to join a busy cafe in the middle of town, with an awesome, long-term team. The ability to build relationships with our regulars, work well under pressure, provide calm, positive leadership and maintain high standards during peak times, is essential. We are a small but hard-working team, so leading by example is a must. The Role: Looking for someone to work through until the end of the 2026 summer season (and beyond to winter if desired!) 3-4 x 8-10 hour shifts (3-4 days off) **Must be available to work weekends** Daily Operations: Preparing and serving our full hot menu, barista service, baking cookies, clearing tables, washing dishes – getting dirty and leading by example! Providing coaching and training to baristas, to ensure high performance, food and coffee standards. Managing the café floor: providing leadership and guidance to the team of baristas when the cafe manager is not present. Delegating tasks. Managing labour during quiet times. Opening and closing the cafe following all open/close procedures, and ensuring that the cafe is secure before leaving at end of day. Cash handling- ensuring accuracy in till counts and change float. Ensuring store cleanliness – plan and delegate daily and weekly cleaning tasks to barista team. Deal with customer complaints in a polite, respectful manner, enhancing customer experience. Administrative Operations: Adhering to Food Safe, Work Safe policy’s, and following BC Liquor laws Maintain compliance- Temp logs, fridge temperature logs. Record and enter waste daily at end of day Receive invoices using Inventory Management software Supporting Cafe manager with Monthly inventory counts (As required) Report maintenance issues to Cafe Manager and plan service as directed. Requirements: 2+ years coffee experience is essential. Previous kitchen/food prep experience is essential. Previous Supervisory experience is an asset. Serving it Right is required. Food safe is required. Base wage $20 + hourly tips (increase after 6 months) Please apply online or bring your resume, availability and some information about yourself into store.
