We are seeking a Permanent Sr. Estimator - Mechanical/Plumbing to join our dynamic team. Competitive compensation and benefits package! Job Details Responsibilities: As a Permanent Sr. Estimator - Mechanical/Plumbing, you will be responsible for: 1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and services. 2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. 3. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction. 4. Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. 5. Collaborating with contractors, architects, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. 6. Consulting with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. 7. Assisting in the preparation of bidding documents, including developing bid strategies and packages. 8. Evaluating and managing the pre-construction and construction stages of a project. 9. Coordinating with the project management team to monitor job progress and adjust estimates as necessary. Qualifications: To be considered for the Permanent Sr. Estimator - Mechanical/Plumbing role, you must possess the following: 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing estimating in the construction industry. 3. Proficient knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing required. 4. Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems is a must. 5. Familiarity with HVAC systems, piping, and other related mechanical systems. 6. Strong understanding of construction drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately. 7. Proven ability to prepare and present estimates and bids effectively. 8. Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. 9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 10. Proficiency in using estimating software and computer programs.
