Speech Language Pathologist (SLP),
to join our team as an
Independent Contractor.

You will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for clients with communication, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders in a home and community setting.

Job Description
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Deliver direct therapy to enhance speech production, language comprehension and expression, articulation, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing function.
Utilize a range of interventions, including oral motor therapy, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation
Support patients, caregivers, and families with education, coaching, and home carryover strategies to maximize treatment effectiveness
Assist patients with equipment and device recommendations (e.g., AAC tools, assistive technologies)
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries).
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive holistic support
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (community or clinical experience an asset)
Experience with a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques
Strong skills in developing, delivering, and adjusting therapy plans based on patient progress
Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
