Job Summary:
The Benefit Specialist will be responsible for administering the Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement and all other employee benefit plans.
This position will also be responsible for assisting with benefit communications, managing benefit projects, assisting with wellness initiatives, and other benefit related activities.

Starting Wage: $30.77/hr - $32.70/hr

Job Responsibilities:
Work with our health and welfare vendor partners including Medical, Dental and Vision to ensure proper administration of benefits, and retirement vendor partners. Related activities include the following:
Manage enrollment and eligibility
Assist employees and members of HR to address and resolve issues
Assist HRT with audits and testing to ensure program accuracy
Work with partners and Payroll to ensure proper deductions are being deducted from paychecks
Assist with employee communications, including managing content on the external benefits website and the internal SharePoint site, KBAs and SOPs
Assist, as needed, with administration of LOAs
Help identify, plan, implement, and communicate wellness related activities
Participate, plan, communicate, and execute cyclical benefit programs including Open Enrollment processes, ramp-up process support for field HR partners for new and returning employees before ski season begins, benefit fairs, and flu shot clinics
Compile quarterly dashboard metrics through various platforms including Excel, Access, and Google Analytics to identify trends and support strategic direction
Coordinate compliance efforts including audit responses, data requests, plan testing, notice and disclosure requirements, etc.
Handle other benefit related duties including life claim processing, acquisition work, appeals, escalations, and more
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related fields
3-5 Years relevant work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ideally HR benefit systems.
Ability to speak English is necessary
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Able to successfully multi-task
Able to deliver effective and quality results, meet tight deadlines and targets
Strong oral and written communication
Workday experience preferred
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $30.77/hr - $32.70/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
