Assignment: RQ00675 - Solutions Designer - CRM - Senior Requisition: RQ00675 Job Title: Solutions Designer - CRM - Senior Client: City of Toronto Start Date: 2026-07-06 End Date: 2027-01-05 Department: Technology Services Office Location: Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto Business Days: 130.00 Location: 3 days onsite/2 days remote (subject to HM's discretion) Public Sector Experience: Nice to Have Must Haves: A minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience working in large project and/or program environments within government jurisdictions and/or large private sector organizations. Minimum 5+ years of experience using Salesforce technologies, including Visualforce, configurations, Apex classes, Apex web services, APIs, AppExchange deployments, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows, with the ability to design and build LWC components. Description Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience working in large project and/or program environments within government jurisdictions and/or large private sector organizations. Demonstrated experience delivering a wide variety of solutions using Salesforce features, capabilities, and integration services. Extensive experience with both traditional and modern project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative approaches, along with associated tools. Strong IT knowledge with an understanding of cybersecurity principles, including current threats, trends, and technologies. Well-organized self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies, and capable of providing detailed technical solution design and effort estimation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel. Demonstrated experience analyzing system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps between current and target states, and delivering comprehensive solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead effective communication among all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients. Certifications Salesforce Platform Developer and/or Platform App Builder certification (active status required). Additional Salesforce certifications considered an asset. Technical Capabilities Minimum 5+ years of experience integrating Salesforce with multiple business systems using data integration tools such as Apache NiFi, Kafka, RapidMQ, with a strong understanding of integration patterns. Minimum 5+ years of experience using Salesforce technologies, including Visualforce, configurations, Apex classes, Apex web services, APIs, AppExchange deployments, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows, with the ability to design and build LWC components. Minimum 5+ years of experience implementing one or more Salesforce Clouds, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Omni Studio, Marketing Cloud, Agent force, or Analytics Cloud (Tableau CRM/Einstein). Minimum 5+ years of experience developing Salesforce native or hybrid mobile applications and integrating with Salesforce CRM. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently communicate at all levels, including business partners, leadership, and vendors. Additional Skills Strong understanding of Salesforce security and data privacy controls. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management practices. Deliverables The Specialist will be responsible for delivering architecture, design, and technical solution outcomes, including: Configure and deploy Salesforce Experience Cloud components supporting the redesigned 311 interface Develop frontend components and user interaction flows, including forms and service request journeys Integrate Experience Cloud with Service Cloud backend processes Configure user authentication, security, and access models Provide technical design documentation, including: Solution architecture inputs Configuration and development artifacts Support unit, integration, and system testing activities, including issue identification and resolution Prepare deployment packages and support go-live activities Provide post-launch support and stabilization Deliver knowledge transfer documentation and handover to City teams Ensure all deliverables align with: City governance standards Accessibility requirements (AODA/WCAG) Security and privacy policies Additional Terms Anticipated Duration: 6 months Duration of Potential Extension: Up to an additional 6 months Work Location: Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 3C6 (Hybrid). Hybrid Work Model: The selected resource will be required to work onsite three (3) days per week at Metro Hall, with anchor days aligned to team requirements and project needs.
