Position Summary
SOC 100: Introduction to Sociology. This course introduces students to basic sociological concepts, debates, and modes of analysis. Through discussion of issues such as the cultural development of humans, the socialization process and the structures of global society, students will be introduced to the distinctive approach of sociology.
Position Requirements
M.A. in Sociology or a related social science field required; Ph.D. preferred.
Demonstrated competence to teach the course subject matter.
Demonstrated successful experience in university-level teaching.

Work Hours and Schedule
This course is scheduled to be Face-to-Face in Saskatoon. The class is scheduled for Wednesdays 11:30–14:15. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date. Course Modality: Face to Face. Course Dates and Time: September 1 - December 31, 2026. Full-Time/Part-Time: Other Preference. Posting: No Preference. Target Posting: Not Targeted.
