Position: Shipping Supervisor Start Date: Immediate Term: Full-time, permanent Description : Reporting directly to the Port Coquitlam Operations Manager and in his absence to Operations Supervisor. This is a direct supervisory position responsible for the shipping, receiving, and warehousing aspects at our Port Coquitlam Branch. Key Responsibilities Supervise shipping/receiving, deliveries and warehousing in accordance with policies and procedures. Communicate with Operations / Logistic Coordinators / Sales any items or issues that impact customer relationships including but not limited to product quality and final delivery of goods. Responsible for the receiving process. Reject returns of containers outside of specifications and process according to quality system requirements. Responsibilities includes: Scheduling, daily work assignments/rotations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, and back-up for absent employees. Responsible to ensure all personnel in shipping/receiving areas conform to safety and regulatory requirements including use of PPE at all times. Assist in shipping/receiving as deemed necessary. Troubleshoot all processes in all the shipping areas. Train and coach shipping/receiving department employees. Filling out Proper Paperwork: Sales Orders/ Receiving Reports, etc Ensure that Shipping and Receiving requirements and standards are met consistently Maintain a clean and safe work area Ensure smooth, safe operation of facility. Other duties as assigned by Manager Requirements High School Diploma or GED 3 to 5 years direct work experience as Lead Shipper in charge of other shippers in the Department Understand safe chemical handling and storage TDG and WHIMIS training is a strength Forklift experience is mandatory Abiding by company policies and procedures Ability to problem solve and work independently or with a team Ability to read, write, and speak English Own reliable form of transportation Netsuite experience is an asset Experience in a chemical environment is an asset Working Conditions Steel toe shoes required Frequently standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting while transferring product Operating mobile equipment, forklifts ClearTech was selected as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies since 2019.
