Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Service Journeyman Plumber Job Description This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality plumbing services across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects in the Lower Mainland. As a Service Journeyman Plumber, you install, repair, maintain, and replace plumbing systems and fixtures while delivering exceptional customer service. You apply strong troubleshooting skills, adhere to local plumbing codes, and uphold high standards of safety, integrity, and workmanship on every job. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects across the Lower Mainland. Perform regular maintenance and inspections to identify and address leaks, clogs, pipe damage, and other potential issues before they escalate. Install plumbing-related equipment such as water softeners, garbage disposals, sump pumps, and other system upgrades as required. Diagnose plumbing problems accurately and complete timely repairs to restore systems to proper working order. Assess when components or systems have reached the end of their service life and carry out replacements to ensure long-term reliability. Interpret and follow local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards on all projects. Provide clear, professional communication and excellent customer service while working on client sites. Collaborate with a team of technicians to plan work, solve technical issues, and ensure efficient completion of service calls. Drive to various job sites throughout the Lower Mainland, using company-provided vehicles where applicable. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Essential Skills Minimum 4+ years of service plumbing experience, specifically in a service-focused environment. Valid plumbing license and Journeyman Certification. Red Seal Plumber ticket. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for plumbing systems and components. Solid understanding of local plumbing codes and regulations. Proven experience in residential and commercial service plumbing. Ability to perform installations, maintenance, repairs, and replacements on a wide range of plumbing systems. Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. Demonstrated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites across the Lower Mainland. Additional Skills & Qualifications Backflow ticket or Cross Connection certification. Gas B ticket. Heating experience, particularly in conjunction with plumbing systems. Experience working on both commercial and residential service plumbing projects. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with related mechanical and heating systems. Construction or mechanical experience supporting plumbing installations and service. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a dynamic service environment supporting both commercial and residential customers throughout the Lower Mainland, with most work concentrated in Vancouver, Burnaby, and the Tri-Cities. You are part of a team of approximately 40 technicians, collaborating closely to complete daily service calls. Typically, you meet at the shop for the first two weeks and then proceed directly to job sites, working a standard schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with frequent opportunities for overtime. The role is field-based, requiring daily travel between sites, and involves hands-on work with plumbing, mechanical, and heating-related systems in a variety of building types.
